| Rebecca Run for Spinal Muscular Atrophy, Fairy Lake, Newmarket Ontario — Saturday July 9, 2016 Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! The 15th anniversary of the Rebecca Run for SMA was an overwhelming success on many fronts. This was a very special year for everyone. We had more than 500 participants in both the 5k, 3k and kid's fun run cross the finish line. We had a record number of teams, 17 in total, with Team Stella being our largest team with more than 50 members strong. Additionally there was a record number of supporters, fundraisers and donors that all came together on Saturday, July 9. Our volunteer team of more than 75 individuals and families gave their time, energy and enthusiasm to ensure that everyone had a very special and memorable day. With the collective efforts and commitment of our participants, donors and valued sponsors, more than $100,000 was raised for Families of SMA Canada. This brings our total dollars raised to more than $2.6 million since we started the run in 2001. Click here to see some race day pictures on our Facebook page! We look forward to seeing you next year on Saturday July 8, 2017 for the 16th anniversary of the Rebecca Run for SMA at Fairy Lake in Newmarket. There is still no cure for SMA. We are getting closer but we are not there yet. We couldn't fund our efforts to eradicate this disease with out your help. Thank you once again for supporting us in our quest to find a cure for SMA!
